Description:
The World Bank Group launched a global initiative on offshore wind in March 2019.1 The ‘Offshore Wind Development Program- is being funded and led by the Energy Sector Management Assistance Program (ESMAP)2in close partnership with the International Finance Corporation (IFC, the private sector arm of the World Bank Group), and the objective is to support the inclusion of offshore wind into the energy sector policies and strategies of World Bank Group client countries and the upstream work needed to build a pipeline of bankable projects. A key part of this program are upstream country studies and technical assistance. As part of this program, six priority countries have been identified on which to focus, with one of them being the Colombianmarket.
