Description:
The United Nations Verification Mission in Colombia (UNVMC) is seeking to identify qualified vendors for the Provision of of Nationwide Freight Transportation & Related Services in Support of UNVMC. The Transportation services would include pick-up, loading, lashing, transportation and unloading of shipments from door-to-door via multimodal transportation.The projected duration of the contract is for an initial term of two (2) years with the option to extend for three (3) additional one-year periods at the sole discretion of the United Nations.Specific Requirements/InformationThe requirement of Nationwide Freight Transportation & Related Services in Support of UNVMC incompass the following services:1- Transportation Services: transportation services: domestic freight services from regional headquarters (RHQ), including headquarters, subregional headquarters (SRHQ) and local hubs to Mission headquarters, Calle 95, 13-35, Torre B in Bogotá, and/or from Mission headquarters in Bogotá to regional headquarters, subregional headquarters and local hubs, and/or between regional headquarters, subregional headquarters and local hubs (if applicable), 2- transit/storage facilities: The Mission may require secure transit facilities (1-5 days) and/or secure storage facilities (6-21 days) for goods at the locations listed under Point 1(Transportation Services).
