Description:
Expression of Interest are invited for Mobility Study on Low-income Populations in Bogotá. The research project linked to this TOR aims to quantify the impact of a change in the public transportation tariff policy on mobility, labor market outcomes, time use, and quality of life in Bogotá. The Secretaría Distrital de Movilidad (SDM), in charge of mobility policies for the city of Bogotá, is revising the fare policy of its Integrated Public Transport System (SITP), with emphasis on the subsidy components, which will affect the eligibility and size of the subsidy received, with an underlying policy goal of increasing the usage of the system among low-income and vulnerable populations in Bogotá. The new policy will be implemented in early 2022 and the World Bank is working with the SDM to evaluate its impact. The Survey Firm will be expected to successfully conduct 5,000 phone surveys of approximatively 30-minutes on a large sample of respondents provided by the Evaluation Team.
