Description:
Tenders are invited for Application of IFC's Environmental & Social Performance Standards to Transport Projects in Colombia The present consulting engagement aims to support IFC in the early assessment of PSs gaps (general and project-specific) in transportation projects in the pipeline in Colombia; and identify and design a precise scope of appraisal and mitigation mechanisms that leverage the experience with the 4G program. The resulting guidance and mechanisms will support IFC and its clients in applying PSs, especially PS5, to projects in the pipeline. Although the present scope of work concerns all IFC's E&S PSs that are relevant to road projects, the focus of the work will be on evaluating the specific PS deemed to be the most critical: PS1 (aspects related to the ESIA process and consultation), PS3 (aspects related to noise and vibration), PS5 (land acquisition and resettlement), PS6 (natural and critical habitats), and PS7 (indigenous peoples identification and Free, Prior and Informed Consent-FPIC). The IFC PSs (2012) will be used as a benchmark for the above evaluation. In addition, even though this Project mainly focuses on roads, the resulting analysis and outputs will also apply to other transportation projects.
